Step 1: Finalize Designs (read here)
Step 2: Make Size Charts
Step 3: Choose Fabrics & Options
Step 4: Create!
{As I write this, I have finished everything(!!!!), but I will outline each step in a blog entry, just to make it more suspenseful and fun!}
Choosing a size is probably the most annoying part of buying clothing online.
I mean, seriously, how many sellers (Etsy or otherwise) give you enough information to know how an item of clothing will fit you? Not too many. I wish there was a virtual fitting room!
I wish to make clothing which fits all sizes. Instead of offering sizes 0-26 separately or one-size-fits-all (like most my patchwork skirts), I've created sizes x-small through 2x-large.
Aqua circle skirt--see the waistband? |
Each skirt has a waistband with 2" wide elastic, plus a side zipper, creating a lovely & adjustable top :D
*Want to figure out which size you will wear when these skirts become available? Grab your tape measure and let's get going!*
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Measure around the part of your body where you want to wear this skirt, then follow the chart below.
Consideration 1: I recommend that the pencil skirt be worn just below your waist or just above your hip bone, and that the A-line skirt & circle skirt be worn just above your hip bone.

The elastic is cut to the smallest measurement of the range and will stretch to comfortably fit the largest measurement in the range.
