More About Faith

My sewing career began when I was four years old--my grandmother taught me to sew, and I made clothes for my Barbies. Now she has passed away, leaving me with cabinets of vintage fabric and many ideas. In some ways, my creations are a tribute to my grandmother's sewing legacy--in some ways, they are completely my own.

I just finished my third and final year at Grace College and Seminary, in Winona Lake, IN, studying International Business. Now that I'm done, I have all the time in the world (after taking care of the house, of course) to devote to sewing!

I run a little sewing business through Etsy. I make skirts, purses, and custom-designed dresses. Sewing is my absolute favorite hobby, so I'm always working on something! I also enjoy knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. I always welcome ideas and suggestions :D

Late 2010 / early 2011, I began a dating relationship with a wonderful man named Parker Snowden, and we quickly fell in love. On Valentine's Day, he proposed, and we were married on May 29, 2011!!! We both graduated from Grace this year, and we live Warsaw, IN. I am so excited to be blessed with a godly husband-to-be, and I love spending my life with Parker!

Obviously, since I love to sew, I am made almost everything for the wedding: my dress (I bought satin and ribbon in Paris!), the bridesmaid dresses, the groomsmen vests and ties, and most of the decorations and centerpieces. I love planning! Maybe I should grow up to be a wedding planner? ;)

Currently, I are trying to grow my Etsy business (and all the sewing I do for family/friends on the side) into a part- or full-time job. My husband is wonderful to allow me to do this, especially since we're newlyweds, so money is tight-ish.

Thanks for visiting and reading! Check back for more updates on my sewing adventures!
